Born in Sydney, Australia Melinda comes from a Lebanese background, growing up in the North/West of Sydney. Having worked in the TV and Entertainment Industry for over 20 years in various roles in Production as well as pursued creative projects she has established a great understanding of the industry professionally.

Melinda has worked in TV for many years, currently freelancing at Blink TV on various shows such as Eurovision Song Contest. Food shows such as Guillaume’s French Atlantic, Guillaume’s Paris and the last three series of Plat du Tour. Melinda has also worked in Post Production at Warner Bros. TV Production Company including shows such as Who Do You Think You Are? Series 11, Child Genius Series 2 and The Proposal. Her love for TV and Film making sees her moving into Producing and forever being art of the creative process. Previous to this Melinda was at SBS TV Australia for over 10 years in the Commissioned Content team working across various genres, shows and areas of the business.

As an actress, Melinda has a depth and understanding of what it takes to transform into character. Her naturalism as well as technique always brings a captivating performance. With an interest in adapting social and cultural awareness to the audience, she has performed in theatre productions co-staring with Mamdouh Habib, (Egyptian/Australian Guantanamo Bay ex prisoner) in “Waiting for Mamdouh” and “661″ performed at the NIDA Parade Theatre and at the Bakehouse Theatre for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Other credits include Greek/Australian play directed by Tony Nikolakopoulos “Baraki” at the Sydney Fringe Festival.

Her love of performing has also led Melinda to the band The Mezcaltones, which perform Tex-Mex Tarantino-esque music. She dances, plays percussion instruments, does backup vocals, and propels in to leading a few songs. They perform all over Sydney and at festivals such as the Blues on Broadbeach, Tamworth Country Music festival for approximately 9 years. Also played at the Dashville Skyline Festival 2018, Groundwater CMC in 2018. Melinda also has a passion for movement dance and teachest Nia, which is a holistic practice, incorporating healing arts, dance arts and martial arts. She is trained to be a Nia Blue Belt & Nia 5 Stages Instructor and enjoys a way of life that always nourishes the mind, body and soul.

  1. Hi, I sent you an email at Blink and it said you had moved on, thats good right? So I googled you to see if you went to a new TV company as I like to stay in touch with production people. But instead I see you have many strings to bow! Wow what a talent.     1. Hi Andy, Sorry for the slow response. I was away at the Tamworth Country Music festival then slowly catching up and getting the year going.Thanks for reaching out and nice words.
